AAMI is a unique alliance of nearly 6,000 members united by the common goal of increasing the understanding and beneficial use of medical instrumentation. AAMI is the primary source of consensus and timely information on medical instrumentation and technology, and is the primary resource for information on voluntary standards for the medical device manufacturing industry, individuals that support and maintain medical devices (primarily employed within hospitals), and for U.S. and international governments.
AAMI provides multidisciplinary programs that enhance the ability of health care professionals, healthcare institutions, and the medical device industry to understand, develop, manage, and use medical instrumentation and related technologies safely and effectively.
